YES!!!!!! I finally reached my 5% goal. HAPPY DANCE. Now I've set my next goal of 10% and I need to get to 234. Ten pounds, not too difficult.

This last week has been loaded with tons of exercise. Seven out of eight days I walked or ran. Yesterday and today I decided to take a break which yielded in a power cleaning and de-cluttering of the house and caused me to be on my feet for 6 plus hours yesterday.

Oh, and I lost another point today... :( Down to 37 now.
I'm feeling great and cannot wait to continue this journey!

Gah....so close to my first goal. Darn sodium. :( A loss is a loss so I can't be too sad about it.

That's okay, I'm making a valiant effort this week and it seems to already be paying off!

Busy Work

Sorry for  the lack of posts lately. I've been focusing on hair bows and exercise so the blog's been neglected. Here's a couple of things I've meant to post lately. I've been working on increasing my distance. The last two days we squeaked in five miles or more each day. Today I slow jogged enough to get over 5.5 miles in the time it took me to walk 5 miles yesterday. So, not too shabby.

Last week I was FINALLY able to try Lavash Pizza after asking my deli if they sold Lavash since I cannot find it anywhere. They sold me one piece, since I wanted to try it first. We tried the Lavash Flatbread Pizza recipe from Skinny Taste. We browned up some lean ground beef, chopped bell pepper & red onion and it was magnificent! And, my recipe was a whopping 4PP for a quarter of the pizza!

That left me with a bit of a delima. What to do with the rest of the jar of pizza sauce? Sure I could have gone back to the store and bought a few more slices of Lavash, but hey I'm all for trying something new. So in a quick fix I made up Pizza Chicken. Yes, I'm that silly. I also tried a new method of cleaning corn on the cob which worked like a charm; How to never shuck corn again. I also tried some fabulous Organic EVO that was butter flavored on my corn.

Pizza Chicken

  • 1 lb. Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, Cut into four halves
  • 1/2c. Prego Pizza Sauce, Pizzeria Style
  • 1/4c. Fat Free Shredded Mozarella
Pan "fry" your chicken, turning until no longer pink. Divide the pizza sauce over the top of all four pieces of chicken. Sprinkle the mozarella over each piece of chicken. Let simmer until cheese begins to melt. Serves 4. 4PP

Yesterday I needed something for lunch and I just couldn't decide what I wanted. So I through a mish mash together. I had a roasted chicken sandwich and on the side, celery with peanut butter and raw broccoli and cauliflower. It was surprisingly good and filling. Chips need not apply.

Tomorrow is weigh in day, so I shall return!

Always On My Mind

I have some of the best friends a girl could ask for, and I've never met them. My fabulous friend helped me design a tattoo I've been wanting. I wasn't sure how to go about it. She found this amazing font and made it happen for me.

This statement means so much to me. But my primary thought on it, is that I've wished I could be skinny and pretty for a long long time. Did it happen? No. Why? Because wishing will not make it so. I've finally come into the frame of mind that if I want it, I HAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. But this theory applies to so much more than weight loss. I'm super excited about it and I cannot wait to make the ink real.

What phrase or quote inspires you?

Rough 24 Hours

Things have been sad for me since yesterday. My beloved camera up and broke itself. It seriously feeling like losing a loved one. I have to send her in for repair and may not see her for upwards of two months. I'm devastated. But I truck on and I'll make due with the iPhone & point n shoot. :(

The past few days I've made a special point to ensure I'm drinking enough water. I can refill my glass, but I lose track too easily with all that I have going on. Not to mention I'm much more a visual person, so I took a que from Pinterest and purchase some water bottles. I was aiming for 32 ounce bottles but had no luck for the right price. So I opted for two 4 packs of these awesome Rubbermaid 20 ounce bottles. Perfect! And, I have back ups when needed.

Photobucket

Can you believe I "need" 100 ounces of water a day? I understand that some of the "water" comes from the foods I eat, but I suppose I'm a bit of an overachiever. So 5 bottles of water a day? Yup, that's what I've been doing. Obviously when working out & sweating I require more than that. Needless to say I've been running to the bathroom like a pregnant lady with a kid on her bladder. I truly love this method though, I can actually see that I'm getting my water in as long as those bottles are empty at the end of the day.

In other news I've tried a couple of new breakfast combos. I've really been working on adding new recipes to my diet to keep things interesting. And lately I haven't had a stinker. My favorite sites right now are skinnytaste.com and danicasdaily.com. Both sites have fabulous recipes and a ton of them are so easy, why wouldn't you give them a try?

Yep, Yep

Tomorrow is grocery day! I can't wait to nab more nummies to fill my tummy. Today was a decent day, but I didn't get any physical exercise in. I did however spend four hours playing maid and cleaning. :P

Yes, I'm that Mom. The one who can't do a little at a time and has to wait to do it all at once. Hey, at least no one can say I don't sweat my butt off cleaning. And a messy house means more time with my kids, right?

Photobucket

Since I was busy sleeping this morning, I got started late and so I ended up throwing together a quick lunch in between bathing our poor boy child. His meds are causing rear end issues which is in turn causing a rash and a lot of baths. So the kids and hubs got grilled cheeses. Whereas I opted for an oven roasted turkey & reduced fat pepper jack grilled sammich. I paired it with a huge strawberry jicama salad. All for a whopping 7PP!

Grilled Turkey & Pepper Jack Cheese Sammich

  • 2 slices Sarah Lee 45 calorie bread
  • 6 slices Carl Buddig Honey Roasted Turkey Breast
  • 1 slice Sargento Reduced Fat Pepper Jack Cheese
  • 1tsp Smart Balance Light Buttery Spread with Flax Seed

Make it just like a grilled cheese. ;) 6PP

Strawberry & Jicama Salad

  • 1c Romaine Lettuce, Shredded
  • 1c Baby Spinach
  • 1/2c Strawberries, Sliced
  • 1/2c Jicama, Cubed

Mix & Enjoy 1PP

Then snack time rolled around.... My latest fave seems to be baby carrots and  GG bread crisps with 1 wedge of Laughing Cow Light Garlic & Herb cheese spread on them. This plate? A whole 2 PP!

Ah, today life was good. :D

Weigh In Day

Weigh in Day!!!!

4.24 = 251.8
5.01 = 250.8

-1.0 pounds

Total Loss to Date: 9.2 pounds

Let's see. I'm a bit miffed. 1) That ISN'T my true weight for this week. 2) The scale I normally use wasn't up today so I had to use another one and you're supposed to use the same one each time. 3) Damn it! I've lost over 11 pounds but WW isn't reflecting that due to the scale mishap not to mention that you can't strip down naked in the WW location. LOL. 4) I had little sleep because of a late night ER visit which put me in bed around 1:30am.

Web_photo-6

I digress. It's still better than a gain, but this is also why I'm tracking my naked, first thing out of bed weight with the ticker at the top. Last week's naked weight before weigh in was 251.3, this weeks 248.9 which makes it a 2.4 pound loss for this week, C'est La Vie.

Also, I've now lost another Points Plus due to the weight loss. :) But that's okay. It just encourages me to keep eating the right foods and make the right food choices. Moving on...

I promised pics of my Bondi Bands and here they are!

Photobucket
These are my older bands. I have the princess skull in white ink on hot pink fabric, but I couldn't find it when I took this pictures. Wouldn't you know it, it showed up today. Go figure.

Photobucket
These are my new bands I just purchased and I LOVE THEM!!!!

Photobucket
This is the black wristband with fold over technology to keep your keep or id safe while exercising. And the gray band is the arm band. My iPhone fits snugly inside with or without the case.
Happy May Day All!
