Weigh in Day!!!!
12.11 = 218.012.24 = 216.4-1.6 pounds
Total Loss to Date: -61.2 pounds
Gah! I so wish I could get my blogging act back together. :P But, better late than never. What's this I see? I've finally broke the 60 pounds loss mark!!!!!
Today's first-thing-wake-up-naked weight (on the 24th):
Not too shabby for skipping one week's weigh in, preparing for Christmas and going on a baking marathon! I was surrounded by chocolate and peanut butter and pretzels and cookies for FOUR DAYS straight. LOL. It was my own fault for deciding to force my loved ones to eat sweets that I wanted but wasn't about to eat. :D
Speaking of eating, I've been struggling these last few weeks. I will blame our refrigerator. Yes, you heard me correctly. Right before Christmas Eve, our fridge decided it wasn't sure it wanted to work any more. It started with mushy ice cream (that my husband was eating). He complained it wasn't freezing, so we thought it was the freezer. Then we noticed the new jars of milk souring really quickly. :(
So I went out and bought a few fridge/freezer thermometers. Well, by then the freezer said it was safely freezing even though the kids' waffles were soggy and flexible??!?!?! The fridge, yeah it was a balmy 55* in there. No wonder the veggies weren't lasting and the milk soured.
So on Christmas Eve we ventured out to our local outlet store. I mean, why spend a fortune on a brand new fridge, when you can get one deeply discounted at the outlet store, brand new with minor cosmetic damage? So that's what we did. We scored a very expensive fridge for a great price and it has a ding on the right side of the fridge and a tiny mark near the water/ice dispenser. And now we spend the next 12 months paying it off... :P
Yes, it's fancy and I LOVE IT!!!! First off our old fridge was a side-by-side that we couldn't open the freezer door all the way due to the location of the wall. So I was always squeezing in the door with my arm to pull stuff out. It was a P.I.T.A. And the "cheese" drawer rail is plastic and broken, so you had to support the drawer if you wanted to get anything out of it. It's seen better days. Now we can get in the fridge no problem, the kids can access the cheese sticks with the ease of pulling a drawer out. And best of all... it keeps everything the perfect temperature!
So Merry Christmas to me. :D And I'll leave you with my favorite pic my hubs snapped of me Christmas Day. LOL... yes, it's very true!
