Since you asked...

Okay, okay so it's been a while since I've updated the blog, but I've been busy working it. I've been hitting the pavement consistently and it feels great. My weight is still fluctuating around 248-249, but I attribute most of that to water retention and building muscle. I've been chugging water like there's no tomorrow because while I work out, the heat index is near 100*. Phew.

I've also have a mental change and I think I've touched on it, but in case I haven't; I've noticed that since walking I really enjoy the time out with the kids. But since starting the 100 Mile Challenge I've really notice that my mental state has gone from "working out is okay" to "I feel like crap if I don't get a work out in." Meaning I seriously cannot go more than two straight days without getting out to walk...or jog.

Yeah, you heard me. I've started jogging more and more with each walk. Tonight I did several intervals while walking and I can tell there's an improvement with my speed. But tonight since we ran more than in the past, it brought my 3 mile "walk" down to 49 minutes... FORTY NINE MINUTES!!!! That's a 16:15 average pace. Holy smokes. :)

I'm very proud of myself AND my support team (you know who you are). You've given me the courage necessary to keep myself motivated and I owe you a debt of gratitude. Until next time. Muah!

Great job! I am starting to walk & I say I don't want to run but secretly, I'd like to be able to;-)
Just to know I can do it really cause right now I can't & say I don't want to cause I know that's the reason. If I can do it & don't cause I don't want to then I'll feel better... make sense? LOL, who knows, maybe I'd get addicted & want to when I can:-)

NICE PACE!!! You are doing awesome. I love that your perspective on exercise has totally shanged. How do you feel when you run?

Thank you for the update! ;) And I *love* your mental change! I am the same way now and have become a gym rat, lol! And it makes me think, "Oooh, this is how all those healthy people think/feel? They actually enjoy working out too?" ;) On your way Mama, keep it up!! Hugs!
