Biggest Loser ~ The Beginning

I'm a huge fan of Biggest Loser, no pun intended. I've watching it for the last several years and last season was the most inspiring to me. It truly helped motivate my new habits. So it's no surprise that two weeks ago when the new season started that I'm feeling that feeling again. Lucky for me I have a great support system so I don't "need" to run away to an amazing fitness camp and get my butt kicked on a daily basis for 5 months. Perhaps it's what I'd like to do some times, but it's not a need.

Anywho, back to my support system. Behind me, not only is my husband but a great group that I will refer to as The December Mamas. It stems from a birth board, known as Baby Center, and we migrated to a private board. So we've "been together" since around June/July of 2008. We've seen each others highs and lows. I don't think there is a more close knit group of females on the planet, and I'm not trying to get mushy here, it's just that we all come from different walks of life, but we have so much in common. Much more than our December children anyway.

A few of us have been going through weight loss challenges. We have each others backs and we push each other and provide motivation. It's been very instrumental in getting me where I am now, or at least where I was before my hiatus. Since the Biggest Loser started two weeks ago it was suggested that we start our own Biggest Loser Challenge for the month of October. One month to get us on the right path to success. And it's not just for those of us who are already in the process of losing weight. We also have a handful of Mamas that have recently given birth and or on subsequent pregnancies. It's about being fit and healthy and getting to where we want to be.

So here are the rules, and this is primarily so I can remember them myself. ;)

$10 buy in

20 minutes of working out = 1 point.

Working out will be paid out on highest number of points.

Weight loss will be paid out on greatest percentage of loss at the end of the month.

Weigh ins are every Monday with a posted pic of the scale.

Phew...I have a lot of work ahead of me. ;) So what this means is, for the next month I will resume Monday weigh ins and....there will be pictures involved. :D Aren't you excited?

Week 1

Of note, I forgot to weigh first thing. Not trying to make excuses, but just stating fact. I had food on my belly at this point and probably a half gallon of water. Secondly my scale needs dusted baaaaddddd. And lastly I will succeed! Thank you December knew just what I needed when I needed it.
