I swear it feels like I've been trying to write this post for days now. It's just been so gorgeous that I've been working on my photography with the gorgeous out doors and playing with the kids. So I apologize if it seems I've neglected updating, but my kids and my new found energy are coming first these days.
So to start I'd like to share with you the amazing Weight Watchers Prize Pack I won from Scale Junkie a few weeks ago.
I received three packages of Weight Watchers Cheese (including Cheddar, Colby Jack, and Smoked), Noooodle, Spritzer Bottle, and a food journal.
I have to say my fav is the smoked cheese sticks, however the colby jack are really handy for salads...see below for my nummy recipe.
I was so pumped. At first I wasn't quite sure what to make of the Noooodle, but I think it will come in handy when I only need to make a few portions. I has four different portion options depending on how many people you intend to feed.
I also received a cute food journal and spritzer bottle. I can't say enough thank you's to Scale Junkie and Weight Watchers. Yay me!
So I love eating cheese sticks as a snack...I also LOVE cheese on my salads. Of course you could measure shredded cheese, but generally I tend to sprinkle my cheese on the salad. But as anyone trying to lose weight knows, you generally tend to over sprinkle. So using these Weight Watchers cheese sticks I can ensure I've used an appropriate portion. Here's my last minute, yummy salad!
2c Romaine, chopped (16cal)
1 Stick Weight Watchers Cheese, cut into slices (60 cal)
6 slices Budig Deli-Cuts Oven-Roasted Turkey Breast, cut into small pieces (60cal)
1 Cuties clementine orange, peeled and separated (40cal)
1tbl Kraft Creamy French Dressing (70cal)
Total Calories: 246 cal
I know there are healthier salad dressings out there, but I'm trying to not waste what's been sitting in our fridge. So, forgive me...my choices will improve but I'm sorry, you just can't been a large salad like that for 246 calories.
Also, I discovered a new yummy snack that even Baby Girl digs in on. I spread one of these bad boys over 9 Sensible Portions Pita Bites and chow down. Gotta love some Laughing Cow.
